Blooms Adrift Top – $39.95? (on sale)

I love this blouse! It’s cozy and the print is like nothing I own. It’s not very fitted and I’m afraid that if I lose a little weight (which I am currently trying to get back into shape) then it won’t fit. Although I don’t know if I will be able to track down my size. Besides it possibly feeling a little loose, I have a concern for the flowers on the right side of the chest. The red one in the middle is fraying quite a bit! I hope hand washing will help keep it intact.

Iron Man 2

Overall the movie was okay. I was expecting better. I think a much better villain could have been cast (instead of Mickey Rourke). There are some good action scenes but the movie was too long. Scarlett Johansson’s role was minimal. They showed just about every scene she was in during the previews. My husband and I both like Don Cheadle, but we would have preferred seeing Terrence Howard maintain his role as Rhody, in this movie too. While it wasn’t a horrible sequel, I think Transformers 2 was much better (when comparing sequels).

From-the-Green Cardi – $69.95 (currently on sale)

This is a gorgeous crop sleeve cardigan from Tabitha. The deep green is stunning and the marigold and yellow embroidery is exquisite. It’s part wool and I find it slightly itchy, more so than the Buds & Vines Cardigan. But, I usually get cold very easily and it will be sure to keep me warm.

Balletomane Tank – $39.95 (currently on sale)

At first glance on anthropologie.com I wasn’t sure if this top would be right for me. Then I saw it  on Kim and Roxy and figured I should give it a chance. The morning that it went on sale, I ordered one hoping that it would fit (my local store never had it in stock and I didn’t have an opportunity to try it on). I love the soft tulle that drapes over the jersey fabric. The ruffles and flower are well constructed and I don’t have to worry about the top falling apart. I was a little surprised that the top was a little tight around the chest area (despite me being larger than average). I did like the longer length. Petites might find it a bit long, but they would be able to pair it with leggings. Overall, I love the top and suggest you pick one up if you get the chance!

Ablaze Dress – $149.95

The orange/red version of Tracy Reese’s Emerald Cut Dress that came out last year. The fabric is a bit thick and the dress feels very sturdy. The ruched cummerbund in the middle is a nice touch that makes the waist completely disappear. I lvoe the pleating at the bottom and how it livens up the dress. However, I’m not entirely sold on how it’s fitting on top. I wouldn’t size up or it would probably gape at the arm holes yet something doesn’t seem quite right. My husband liked it on the hanger, but once I put it on, he wasn’t so sure. I’m not wearing the best bra underneath it in the photo, but I tried the dress on again with some others at home. I brought it home, but haven’t decided what it’s fate will ultimately be. Off to the closet or back to the store?

Do you think it fits a bit odd on top?

Peeking Needlework Dress – $79.95 (currently on sale)

When I first saw this dress online, I adored the black lace. Completely delicate and beautiful. I managed to try it was disappointed. The one I tried on is one size too small, hence my inability to keep one of the top buttons buttoned (it just insisted on popping open!). I liked the buttons in the front, although I would have preferred in their was a side zipper and the buttons in the front were simply for adornment. They made getting the dress on take a while! The material was lovely but the shape was left to be desired. I think the hemline should have been higher (right under the bust-line). Lastly, the idea of a sash or ribbon to tie around the dress was going in the right direction, I feel I could have easily purchased a nicer ribbon at my local craft store, over the one that was provided. The quality was horrible. Overall, the dress seemed a bit drab and just hung there. A small built-in crinoline underneath might have helped.

Prevailing Winds Tank – $78.00

After seeing this deep royal blue in person, I couldn’t resist trying this top on. I loved the design and the fit. Overall, I think this would be flattering on just about anyone. The only thing I would change is adding another 1-2 inches of fabri in the length.

Wishlisted for now!

Grecian Top – $29.95 (on sale & still in some stores!)

I tried on a small (“hot pink”) and medium (grey). Another winner from Deletta. Very comfy with an adorable cut and the perfect length. I kept the hot pink (which is a bit more coral colored) and passed on the grey (just too big). When it originally went on sale, I debated calling CS to track it down in my size. Instead, I got lucky when I visited my local Anthro.
